Set up Hive Keychain

Heads up: The game UI still expects basic Keychain familiarity. These steps are for people who have never installed it—follow them in order, then come back and hit Play.

Hive Keychain is a wallet in your browser or phone. PixelSwarm uses it to sign you in and to approve burning PIZZA when you paint.

First-time setup

  1. Install Keychain (Chrome, Edge, Brave, etc. use the Chrome Web Store listing; Firefox has its own add-on; iOS and Android use the app stores).
  2. Have a Hive account. If you need one, create a Hive account, then continue.
  3. In Keychain, import your account with the keys or seed from signup (never share your owner key; apps typically use posting and active keys).
  4. Refresh the game tab after installing. Log in with your Hive username (posting key). Painting will prompt for your active key to confirm burns.
