Heads up: PixelSwarm still assumes some Hive Keychain literacy
(installing the extension, knowing your Hive username, and the difference between posting and active keys).
If you are new to Keychain, use the steps below—this flow is meant for you.
Hive Keychain is a wallet in your browser or phone. PixelSwarm uses it to log you in
and to approve burning game tokens when you paint.
First-time setup
Install Keychain for your browser or device (Chrome, Edge, Brave, etc. can use the Chrome extension).
Have a Hive account. If you do not have one yet,
create a Hive account
first, then continue.
In Keychain, import the account you will use. You will need your keys or a seed phrase from when the account was created
(never share your owner key; posting/active are usual for apps).
After installing, refresh this page. Click Login, enter your Hive username, and approve the sign request
(Posting key). When you paint, Keychain will ask you to confirm burns—those use your Active key.
New to Hive Keychain?
You made it to the canvas—great. To log in and paint, this app needs the
Hive Keychain extension or mobile app. Without it, Login and painting will not work.
Honest gap: The rest of PixelSwarm still talks like you already know Keychain, posting vs. active keys, and token burns.
If that sounds like jargon, click Full setup steps—it opens a dialog on this page with the walkthrough.
